Prices we pay
Today, Sunday, January 20th 2019, we are paying:
To keep our Sellers up-to-date regarding current precious-metal pricing, this chart is updated daily, based on the world market benchmark: the latest posted afternoon London Fix. We use the London Fix to set our prices because — unlike volatile Spot pricing — it enables us to apply the exact same pricing standard to every shipment received on a given day.
Don’t be fooled by other gold-buying web sites which do not post their prices, or are vague about how much they’ll pay. Many sites do not tell you how much they pay for amounts below a certain weight threshold — and then pay only a fraction of what your items are really worth. We have seen instances where other gold buyers pay as little as 10% of the actual precious-metal value.
Prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars ($ USD), and are per pennyweight (dwt). A pennyweight is 1/20th of a troy ounce, or approximately 1.555 grams. To convert grams to pennyweight, divide your items’ gram weight by 1.555.
For the latest prices, refresh this page. It is updated daily at a little after 11:00 AM ET. On days when publishing of the afternoon London Fix is delayed, we’ll update this page again as soon as it is available. The London Fix is not updated on weekends or on UK holidays.
The actual price we pay you will be based on the market price set on the day your shipment is delivered and received by our facility. You can use this page to estimate how much we would pay you based on today’s market price (i.e. if we received your shipment today).
